Pacific Precision Laboratories, Inc., or PPL, was founded in 1985 and evolved into a key provider of high precision system solutions for companies in the microelectronics industry. In 1993, PPL became a part of JMAR Technologies, Inc. and became known as JMAR Precision Systems or JPSI. In 2003, JPSI was underwent some improved changes and became privately held. In the effort of continuous improvement and providing our customers with excellent systems and products, contract manufacturing, new technologies and services - PPL is back! Pacific Precision

This year JMAR-PSI upgraded their ISO standard from ISO:9001 1994 to ISO 9001: 2000 Quality System Standards Certification following a rigorous assessment of its manufacturing systems and procedures. ISO 9001 is one of five internationally accepted ISO 9000 standards established by the Geneva Switzerland-based International Organization for Standardization (ISO). It is for grading the ability of JMAR-PSI to manage quality in its production of goods or its providing of services. The certification process focuses on the level of consistency of JMAR-PSI's manufacturing processes, and how well JMAR-PSI meets customer requirements. ISO 9001, the most comprehensive certification of the five standards, encompasses product design, production, installation and service. Importantly, since ISO standards certify JMAR-PSI's quality management system, not a specific product, they cover any type of product produced by JMAR-PSI -- whether hardware, software or processed materials.
